Karen A. Forman is a Masters prepared Social Worker with a wide variety of counseling experience. She is also a Certified Guardian ad Litem, and Certified Family Court Mediator with 15 years of experience in the Family Court system. She has lectured for the South Carolina Family Court BAR on topics pertaining to Guardian ad Litem practice and Mediation. She has been a “guest” instructor on the topic of Co-Mediation for The Family Court Mediation Training held in Columbia. She lives in Charleston, South Carolina.
Karen received a BS in Psychology from William Smith College in 1987, a post-baccalaureate in Behavioral Neuroscience from Cornell University in 1988, and her Masters in Social Work with Magna Cum Laude from The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy in 1992. Karen is passionate about the arts and supports the rich and dynamic artistic culture in Charleston. Since January 2013, she has been on the Board of Directors for Charleston Stage housed in the historic Dock street theater. Karen was also a faculty member of the KKBE Temple Religious School for 10 years. Currently, she resides in beautiful downtown Charleston with her husband Gregory and their two daughters: Rebecca and Hannah.
